In Unit Two, I learned the essential concepts and terminologies of grid computing, and how different types of resources interact in a grid environment. I learned about key resources such as computation, storage, communications, software and licenses, and special equipment or capacities, and how they are shared and managed across the grid. I also learned how jobs and applications work, including how user tasks are submitted, executed, and monitored, and the role of scheduling, reservation, and scavenging in allocating resources efficiently. I learned about core grid software components and the concepts of intragrid and intergrid, which show how grids operate within a single organization and connect across multiple organizations. Overall, I learned how these ideas come together to support real-world examples like medical imaging grids, weather prediction grids, and distributed computing scenarios, helping me understand how grid systems manage resources, tasks, and communication effectively
