INTRODUCTION

As student in Masters of science in nursing sciences, ELM track who is expected to acquire knowledge , skills and analysis on how learning outcomes in nursing practice are influenced by the orientation, characteristics, and actions of those who teach and learn, as well as the resources and constraints within each context where the teaching and learning processes occur, It is in this regard that I am assigned to visit one of the existing course syllabus of advanced diploma program in nursing and analyzing it fulfills the required elements to facilitate the students and facilitator in the teaching and learning process and then redesign to meet the required elements.

This course enable students to understand and put into practice measure to prevent infections in general and hospital acquired ones.

This course is designed to equipe year two student midiwifery in knowledge, and skills and attitude towards reproductive health of the family

The focus of this course is to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes in the care of children in primary, secondary and tertiary settings. The module equips learners to utilize the nursing process when examining children responses to illness, treatment and hospitalisation. It emphasis therapeutic relationship amongst nurses, parents, care givers, and children during illness and recovery, and the creation of child-friendly clinics and hospitals. Emphasis is placed on common health problems occurring in Rwanda and in Sub Saharan Africa Countries.

This module aims to introduce student to the basic knowledge of psychology with a focus on the mental process and the psychosomatic process. In addition, student will be skilled, and be able to interact with the client, the community members and respect of the values of good citizen.

Course Description: This course is designed to assist students in knowledge and in-depth understanding of the newborn in pathological situation and with particular characteristics. It is in the core of midwife profession. As a professional midwife, this course makes an engine during our professional exercises.  The course of neonatology is on the basis of the specific knowledge to the midwife profession. It helps the students to develop an understanding attitude towards the mother or the couple with the newborn with health problems.
