MAT2143: Analytical Geometry and Multilinear Algebra (DTP)

Welcome to this course MAT2143: Multilinear algebra and Analytic Geometry.It is a course prepared for Year2 students in Diploma Program with subject combinations: MCE,MPE,MBE and MCsE

This course is split into two parts. The first part is related to algebra and is  focused on multilinear algebra for  which the main emphasis is done on bilinear and quadratic forms. The second part is related to Geometry  and deals  with the analytic geometry of quadrics in 2D and 3D affine Euclidean space.These two parts are strongly connected  and illustrate the interplay between algebra and geometry.The classification of quadrics is made easily by techniques of multilinear algebra.
