Advantages:
Group discussion allows students interactions.
It arouses learners interests since it gives them to talk.
It allows learner to develop speaking skills.
It highlights an individual capacity to a topic.
All in all, it brings about learners creativity and innovation.
On the other hand, it is time consuming.
It can not be applied to people of all level in schools like lower primary p1.
It is a source of shouting for students when irresponsible to manage themselves.
It gives off stigma to shy learners.
Finally, it makes learners boring when organized badly, requires teacher's presence.
