1. My name is Edmond DUFATANYE, I am a Mental Health Nurse by training. I am currently working at RBC, Mental Health Division and I am in charge of Prevention of Drug Abuse. I have not had any chance to study economics in my previous studies.

2. The health economics is important to the health care systems for;

- Effective and efficient management of limited financial resources

- Setting the country or institutional level's health priorities amid competitive projects

3. The role of the health economics principles in strengthening the future health system in the post covid 19 pandemic will be to:

-  Elaborate learned lessons of impact of COVID 19 on individual, community, government, regional and international level

- Set priorities to mitigate and ensure appropriate preparedness responses for any similar pandemic at individual, community, country, regional and international level.

- The health economic principles should include financing health care in the epidemic crisis including quarantine period and disease related care. This could be done if there is special guaranty funds for epidemics and pandemics.

Note: With limited access to internet and computer during this Covid 19 period, I have only had a full access to this platform today.

Thank you
