1.My name is vital MUTIJIMA,I am Master in public health candidate at school of public health ,college of medicine and health sciences , University of Rwanda ,with bachelor in general nursing as education background,recently i am working at Chuk.In addition i did not had a chance to learn Health economics as course.
2.Health economic is important to the health care system,because of it contributions in terms of budgeting of health activities,including planning,purchasing the equipment,materials,also during construction of health care settings, also setting affordable and effective cost for health care services.also health economics could provide the necessary information in terms of decision making,to the health sectors.
3.Health economics principles,based on the global pandemic covid-19,globally the whole world will be affected economically,health economic principles will providing the appropriate information to the decision makers,in order to allocated the few available resources ,and planning to use them effectively in health facilities,after that health services will continue to be provided the obvious gasp in those discipline health services.
These health economics principles are the following:Notions of scarcity,discounting,supply and demand,distinction between need and demand ,opportunity cost,time horizon ,margins,and efficiency and equity.
Health economics is just one of many discipline that may be used to analyse health issue and health care.
