ENG1242: Introduction to Literature in English (DTP)

Welcome to ENG1242: Introduction to Literature in English; a 10 credits course taught Year one undergraduate student from the combinations of Language with Education. The course introduces you to the main literary genres such as oral literature, prose, poetry and drama from various epochs and cultures of the world. The course will help you understand issues raised across a section of authors with a particular interest in literary generic elements such as style, characters, plot, themes, setting and language use.  From this course, you will benefit some educational values from literary studies of various genres and apply them in the current local situations.
