transportation systems, industrial manufacturing, surveillance, resource discovery, etc.

Actuators are also autonomous devices that are responsible for moving or controlling a

mechanism or system. An actuator requires a control signal a source of energy. Sensors

and actuators can combine to form the skin of IoT. Sensors and actuators provide a link

between the physical world and the digital world. This module will focus on the basics of

sensors and actuators along with their characteristics, specifications and uses.
