MEE3163 Machine elements and Design

The course aims to introduce students to the design and theory of common machine elements and to give students experience in solving design problems involving machine elements. It covers selection of material, types of loads on machine members, various design aspects for shaft, joints, flexible elements and leaf springs and gears.  It also introduces stressing of gears.
