Semester 1

Welcome message

Welcome to the module "Project Design and Evaluation" taught to Year III Rural Development Students.  There are two learning units in that module:

1. Project Management

2. Monitoring and Evaluation Techniques

Aim

The main objectives of the module courses are to provide students with a global vision of the projects, to provide practical tools for anticipating the costs, delays and performances of development projects. This module aims at allowing students of Year 3 Rural Development to understand and apply the principles of project management.  The course will explain the key concepts used while establishing an M&E system and discusses why M&E is essential for rural development program management. The course will also provide students with a practical and theoretical framework for analysing, planning for and implementing a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) process which is rural development.
