Biostatistics 1

Biostatistics I provide a solid foundation in biostatistics including understanding types of data, basic descriptive statistics, probability and introduction to inference (estimation and one sample hypothesis testing).

Courses will alternate between class sessions and practice sessions. Each class session will be three hours. The first 1.5-2 hours will provide lecture on the session topics. In the remaining time will be devoted to Stata practice to reinforce the topics covered. Students should bring computers to class with Stata installed on the computers. Each practice session will have an assignment. Students will work
individually on the assignments.
