This module provides an in-depth review of the new approaches to advanced medicine manufacture with particular emphasis on the novel materials used in medicine and delivery system design. The module deals with special formulations and quality assurance in medicine delivery including pharmaceutical and pharmacokinetic considerations in medicine delivery,  biomaterials and targeted and controlled release medicine delivery, intrapulmonary delivery and respiratory disorders, dermal and transdermal delivery and skin disorders, parenteral delivery and oncology and infectious diseases, ocular, nasal and otic delivery and ophthalmic diseases. The module describes also the unit processing of cosmetics
