PHA3352: Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Medicines Analysis
Trimester II

The module of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Medicines Analysis is a 15 credit module constituted of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Medicines Analysis components. The two components have equal weight. The pharmaceutical Chemistry component focuses on the study of chemical properties of organic and inorganic medicines as well as radiopharmaceutical preparations and diagnostic agents. The study of organic products has an emphasis on their structure-activity relationships. On this aspect, the course is closely aligned with the pharmacology module. The Medicines Analysis component of this module focuses on the methods and techniques used to analyze and test the quality of medicines.
