MD80557: Paediatrics and Child Health I

This module is aimed to introduce the students to common paediatric medical conditions 
for which they need to be able to demonstrate understanding of the relevant basic 
sciences in order to provide basic clinical care.  
The module emphasizes the basic principles of child health problems by imparting 
knowledge about the mechanisms of diseases peculiar to general pediatrics, the normal 
processes of growth and development, and principles of management of paediatric 
diseases with a specific focus on gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, nephrology, neurology 
and pediatric lung diseases.
