EC90343: Industrial Attachment
Semester 3

The module Industrial Attachment in Geography and Environmental Management provides students with practical, workplace-based learning experience that bridges academic knowledge and professional practice. It enables students to engage in real-world activities within host organizations, where they apply geographical and environmental management concepts to identify and implement solutions to practical challenges, including the development of an intervention project.

The module also introduces key principles and guidelines governing industrial attachment, including university policies, student rights and responsibilities, and professional codes of conduct. Students explore the benefits and challenges of workplace learning, while developing skills in documentation, including maintaining logbooks and preparing structured attachment reports. Overall, the module strengthens students’ professional competencies, problem-solving abilities, and readiness for careers in geography and environmental management.
