PES3244:Sociology and Psychology of Sports

The module introduces students to the fundamental concepts relating to the sports sociology and psychology. Students will explore the social theories of sport, the relationship between sport and social institutions and the role of sport in society.Students will be introduced to the importance of sport psychology, psychological factors and sports psychological techniques that can be used to improve performance in sports competition.
