BI80565: Human Dimensions of Conservation
Semester 5
This course introduces students to the external structure (morphology) of plants and the organization of plant tissues and organs. Emphasis is placed on the identification, classification, adaptation, and ecological significance of different plant organs and their modifications.
•Since the programm is Botany and Conservation, incorporating conservation applications throughout the course strengthens and demonstrates the relevance of morphology to biodiversity management, restoration ecology, environmental impact assessment, invasive species management, and species conservation.
