PHA3152: Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology
Trimester II

This module covers a deep study of principles of medicine action and the relevance for clinical use. Lectures will address major disease processes in each organic system and the therapeutic properties of medicines used to treat them. This module also emphasizes on the study of the toxicological concerns including medicine adverse reactions, the toxicity occurring as a result of metabolism, carcinogenicity. Basic laboratory techniques used in experimental pharmacology and toxicology constitute the practical part.

The module has a total of 14 topics including 9 topics for Pharmacology and 5 topics for Toxicology.
