ISE2243: Cytology, Genetics and Humany biology
Trimester 2

The module aims to explain the role of the cellular architecture in the basic function of living organisms and to develop an understanding of the genetic inheritance. The content includes cell, cell evolution, cell organization and functions, Mendelian laws, modern theories of genetics and genetics of populations. In addition students will be introduced a broad overview of human biology: origin & ancestry of man, social habits and grouping, diets and nutrition, sexual behaviour and reproduction, fertility, birth control.
