CSC1261 Computer Programming

The aim of this module is to provide to the students of year one with the basic in computer programming skills and knowledge that assist them to develop/write a program for different projects/request. And the module will introduces the fundamental concepts of computer programming using C language.

This module builds on the knowledge students have already acquired on CSC 1161 (ICT skills) that imparts the essential of ICT uses as well as provide a general understanding of computer hardware. The ability to write the computer program in any language is essential for those who want to develop applications. This course provides a solid foundation on the use of C language that enables students to build knowledge in writing a program by working in various compilers. And the intended outcomes are: Understand the principals of modular programming and programming paradigm as well as translating solution into flowchart and or pseudo code.
