ANP2181: Biochemistry

This module covers water, pH and buffers, and an overview of the physical-chemical basis for the structures of biological molecules: nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates and lipids; their structure-function relationships. Enzyme kinetics and application of enzymes. The aim of this module is to help students acquire knowledge and skills so as to be able to understand and explain the Biological mechanisms (Metabolic pathways) which occur in living organisms.
