Occupational Therapy Practice
Semester 2

Aim of the Module: This 10-credit module aims at developing awareness of ethical reasoning during OT client management. This module will acquaint learners with the OT process in simulation and clinical settings. Learners are introduced to concepts of self-reflective journaling and other types of report writing.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the module, the learner will have the knowledge skills and attitudes necessary to attain competencies related to this course
A. Knowledge and Understanding
Having successfully completed this module, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
A.1. Understand the occupational therapy process and the assessment techniques in order to identify the occupational needs of clients.
A.2. Describe the ethical and the professional code with relation to OT
A. 3. Identify occupational needs of clients, interests and capacities by using assessment techniques and outcome measures
B. Cognitive/Intellectual skills/Application of Knowledge
Having successfully completed this module, students should be able to:
B.1. Utilize the OT process in learning activities
B.2. Write reflective reports related to their personal bias and learning activities
B.3. Empathize with clients, the client groups, community members and colleagues
B.4. Develop self-awareness
