MEE4262 Occupational Safety and and Risk Engineering

This course introduces the fundamental principles of occupational safety and risk engineering, focusing on the identification, assessment, and control of workplace hazards in engineering and industrial environments. It covers occupational safety legislation, hazard identification, risk assessment methodologies, industrial safety practices, occupational health, ergonomics, machine and process safety, fire and electrical safety, and engineering risk analysis techniques. The course also addresses accident investigation, emergency preparedness, safety audits, and continuous improvement of safety management systems.
