You are welcome to the module Fundamentals of Physiotherapy Practice. As the name implies, this module provides you with required knowledge, skills and understanding on Physiotherapy Practice. In this module learners will cover contents pertaining to the historical development the physiotherapy profession as well as laws, regulations, standards and ethical principles governing the practice of physiotherapy. Learners will gain abilities to perform basic physiotherapy assessment using various techniques.
Aim
The aim of the module is to equip learners with the knowledge of the historical perspectives, philosophy and scope of the physiotherapy profession. The module will also equip the learner with fundamental skills of physiotherapy assessment.
