The aim of this module is to increase students’ understanding of the concepts of corporate governance focusing on the processes of goal definition, supervision, and control and sanctioning. In a broader sense, it describes all factors who contribute to the accomplishment of stakeholder goals inside and outside the corporation.

 

The module’s main focus is on the role and purpose of ethics in business. It presents the ethical values considered especially relevant to business activity. It elaborates on the respect for human dignity, honesty, fairness, and the development of trust. It also investigates the ethical obligations and ethical ideals present in the relationship between employers and employees and also to examine the prominent ethical-decision models and to present the tools and techniques of business ethics management.

 

It analyzes and investigates whether ethics set any boundaries on competition, marketing, sales and advertising. Finally it is to consider any moral obligations of business to the civil society and to the government.
