Module Name: Occupational Therapy in Mental Health Module Code: OTH2253 Number of Credits: 20 Number of Hours: 200 Module Leader: Kareem Kayode Ayodeji Module Aim: The purpose of the course is to give the learners an understanding of the principles and concepts of occupational therapy in mental health and to identify the place for occupational therapy in mental health care in Rwanda. This approach aims to increase the critical awareness and reasoning skills of the students and to develop their views on this topic. The module will provide basic knowledge of the mental health service structure and available mental health resources in Rwanda and will foster an awareness of legal, ethical and cultural considerations that arise in the field of mental health.
