MED1251: Biochemistry

BIOCHEMISTRY 

Biochemistry is a core module for students of year 1 Medicine, Dental Surgery, and Pharmacy. It focuses on life processes at the cellular and molecular level with a big emphasis on the interconnection and regulation of different metabolic pathways operating in the cell to lead to health and how deviation leads to disease.
Most of the time allocated to this module will be the self-directed learning and forum discussion where you will have time to ask questions about what seemed challenging to you. The module is composed of eight units where each is accompanied by an obligatory activity and sometimes forum discussion to enhance your understanding. you will also have time for laboratory practicals.
