  • 1. Aim of the unit:

    The aim of this unit is to provide you with understanding of concepts, components, and design strategies of competitive total compensation and benefits programs which is aligned with employee performance

    2. Indicative content:

    This unit is designed to cover:

    1. Basic compensation concepts and the context of compensation practice

    2. Components of total compensation rewards and benefits management

    3. Management and evaluation of total compensation

    4. Compensation strategy, competitive salary structure and pay for performance

    3. Unit Learning Outcomes:

    At the end of this unity, you will be able to:

    1. Explain the meaning and importance of compensation and benefits

    2. Identify internal and external factors which determine total compensation rewards and benefits programs.

    3. Compare different ways to manage, evaluate and strengthen the pay-for-performance

    4. Time duration:

    You will cover the whole unit during the seventh week in the following way:
    • 3 hours of reading of materials;
    • 2 hours of attempting E-tivity 7.1.;
    • 1 hour of attempting E-tivity 7.2;
    • 1 hour of attempting E-tivity 7.3;
    • 2 hours of face to face under the guidance of a facilitator
