    The aim of this unit is to equip you with the skills that will help you to understand the concept of planning and to consider its value in the planning process. 

    2. Indicative content

    This unit is designed to cover:

    1. The strategic planning in Human Resources management

    2. The writing of the human resource plan

    3. Tips in Human resource planning

    4. The importance of planning for an organisation

    3. Unit Learning Outcomes:

    At the end of this unity, you will be able to:

    1. Describe the steps in the development of a Human Resources plan
    2. Describe the steps in the development of a Human Resources plan
    3. Explain the aspects needed to create a usable and successful Human Resource

    4. Time duration:

    The time to be allocated to this unit is distributed as follows:

    • 3hrs of reading of materials;
    • 1hrs of attempting E-tivity 2.1.;
    • 1hr of attempting E-tivity 2.2;
    • 1 min of attempting E-tivity 2.3; and
    • 2 hrs of face to face under the guidance of facilitator
    • Purpose:

      This E-tivity allows you to define the steps in strategic human resources planning

      Task:

      Please, read through the book entitled Human Resource Management , especially in its chapter 2  from page 58 to page 69 and answer related questions before you post your answers on the platform: 

      1. Is there a difference between Human Resource Plans and Human Resource Management strategic plans?
