Grid software components
1. Introduction
There are many aspects to grid computing that typically are controlled through software. These functions can be handled across a spectrum of very manual procedures to process being handled autonomically through sophisticated software. The software to perform these functions also ranges in capabilities and availability. Over time more sophisticated software will become available, but in many early grids with limited support resources, it makes sense that some of
these processes are not implemented completely in software. However, we discus them in the following sections as software that should be considered when designing and deploying a grid environment.
