Question 1: Simulation of Grid Computing Architecture

Using a grid simulation tool, design and configure a software-based simulation of a grid computing architecture. The simulation should represent users, a resource broker, computing resources, and network connections within a virtual environment. Demonstrate the complete workflow of job submission, resource discovery, task scheduling, and execution. Explain the role of each simulated component and how the architecture represents real-world grid systems.

 Question 2: Software Simulation of Grid Resource Scheduling

Design and implement a software-based simulation of a grid resource scheduling mechanism. Configure multiple virtual resources with different processing capabilities. Demonstrate how tasks are assigned using defined scheduling criteria and analyze how scheduling decisions affect execution efficiency.

 Question 3: Simulation of Job Submission and Execution Monitoring

Design a simulation that models distributed job submission and execution monitoring. Simulate multiple users submitting jobs and track job states such as waiting, running, completed, and failed. Explain how monitoring improves grid system management.

 Question 4: Simulation of Failure Detection and Recovery Strategies

Design and implement a software simulation that introduces failures such as node crashes or execution interruptions. Explain how failures are detected and how recovery mechanisms such as task rescheduling or re-execution are applied. Analyze the effect of failures on system performance.

 Question 5: Simulation of Authentication and Access Control in Grid Systems

Model secure access control mechanisms in a grid computing simulation. Simulate user authentication and authorization for job execution. Demonstrate how unauthorized access requests are rejected and explain the significance of access control.

 Question 6: Simulation of Data-Dependent Grid Task Execution

Design and simulate a data-dependent grid workload where tasks require access to virtual datasets. Model data access delays and analyze their effect on task execution time and system performance.

 Question 7: Software Simulation of Load Monitoring and Load Balancing

Design a grid simulation that monitors virtual resource load and performs load balancing. Demonstrate how tasks are redistributed when certain resources are overloaded and explain the benefits of load balancing.

 Question 8: Simulation of Time and Resource Management Using Software Tools

Design a software-based workflow or simulation that demonstrates time and resource management in grid projects. Simulate task deadlines, execution priorities, and limited resources and explain how effective planning improves efficiency.

 Question 9: Grid Performance Evaluation Using Simulation Metrics

Design and implement a simulation that evaluates grid performance using metrics such as execution time, throughput, and resource utilization. Present and interpret results for different workload scenarios.

 Question 10: Integrated Grid Computing Simulation Environment

Design and implement an integrated grid computing simulation combining scheduling, monitoring, basic security, and fault handling. Demonstrate end-to-end task execution and analyze system behavior under normal and failure conditions.
