  • Introduction

    In this block, we will be introduced to learning deficiencies among children as well as difficulties in interpersonal relationships. You will look at the different learning deficiencies and ways of helping children with such deficiencies. We encourage you to always try to apply or utilise in class the knowledge you will acquire from this block. This block will help you understand your students’ problems better.

    Section 2:   Children with problem of interpersonal relationships

    After you have completed this block you should be able to:

    • explain  the different learning deficiencies  and their educational implications for a teacher;  
    • identify children with the difficulties in interpersonal relationships and suggest ways of handling such children in classroom.

    This block will take you a minimum of 45 minutes and a maximum of 1 hour to complete. It may take longer if you complete the activities, which have been included to help you internalise the content of the course.    

    How will I assess my learning in this block?

    In this block, you will find two self-marked activities. These activities are designed to help you to understand the learning deficiencies among children. They will also help you to understand the ways of handling children with learning deficiencies and difficulties in interpersonal relationships.
