Section outline

  • What is in this module?

There are four blocks in this module:

Block 1: Child friendly school indicators

    Block 2: Child centred pedagogy

Block 3: Psychosocial support to children

Block 4: Children with learning deficiencies

    Learning resources

At the end of each block, there are references from which some of the ideas in this module were gathered. At the end of the module, there is a longer list of references which bring together all the citations made in the work. These are designed to help you in your further reading on the topics of this module. Most of the references can be found online. But do not worry if you have difficulties in accessing online information. All the relevant information you need to successfully study this module has been provided.

How will I assess my learning?

All through this module, you will find a variety of self-marked activities. These are meant to test your understanding at the end of each section. Answers to the activities are provided at the end of each block but they are just suggestions. You are advised to discuss some of these activities with your colleagues, and provide your own answers after which you can then compare your answers with the ones we have suggested. If you have   attempted the activities without any difficulties, then proceed to the next block.  If you face difficulties, go over the content of that particular section again or revise the whole block where necessary. You may even revise together with your colleague. A Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) will be given to you when you receive this module. Read it before studying this module. Contact your Subject Tutor if you don’t receive the TMA.  The final examination will come after the TMA.
