This module aims at teaching rules of Football, Volleyball, Basketball and Handball. In practical sessions, it will make students familiar with different used hand signals, filling the score sheet and mastering all issues concerning refereeing of the above collective sports. During the practice, students will perform the game systems learned in level 2.
This module intends to equip students with critical thinking and problem solving skills. It introduces to students on concepts of first and second order both Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations (ODEs & PDEs). In addition it discusses systems of ODEs and Applications of PDEs in other science subjects particular in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
This module will introduce to you to functions whose variables are complex variables. Similarly to to the real functions, the module will start by looking at elementary functions of complex variables. We will also study the limits, continuity differentiation and integration of functions of complex variables. The infinity series such Laurent's series will be discussed in complex space. We will introduce the residue theory and we will apply it to calculate some integrals.
Welcome to operating system module. This module is for year3 miscellaneous trimester1 and has 3 parts: 1.general introduction of operating system. 2.parallel and distributed system and 3. Real time operating system
This module gives the opportunity to have a meaningful introduction to computer graphics. It explains what multimedia is, what computer graphics is, how it works, and raises broader issues about how the various applications relate to the latest technology and job market. It also offers a quick, visual, and step-by-step approach for learning fundamental concepts of computer graphics and multimedia.
The module aims at explaining the behaviour of Transition metals in comparison with non transition metals. Characteristics or Properties of Transition Metals: variable oxidation states, colour of Transition metal compounds, paramagnetism and diamagnetism of transition metals compounds.
Coordination compounds: definition, nomenclature and isomerism. Theories of formation of coordination compounds (complexes) and origin of their properties: Crystal Field Theory (CFT), Valence Bond Theory (VBT). Some applications of coordination compounds
The module describes the stereochemical properties of organic compounds and also deals with stereospecificity and regioselectivity of certain organic reactions. It reviews principal synthetic strategic methods in organic chemistry.
Ecology is the scientific study of interactions between living organisms and their environment. Ecology allows understanding how these interactions determine the distribution and abundance of living organisms. This module introduces students to abiotic and biotic interactions, environmental problems and their solutions. It includes the structure of natural ecosystems, energy flow, biogeochemical cycles, population and community dynamics, animal behavior, pollution, conservation of natural resources with a special focus Rwandan terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, and strategies of teaching and learning Ecology and Animal Behavior.
The module introduces students to complex functions and their applications in different disciplines of sciences. It contains the following topics: definition, limits, continuity, differentiation and integration of elementary complex function, Taylor’s and Laurent’s series, Cauchy integral formula, singular points and residue theory, evaluation of definite integrals. It further explores the argument principle and Rouche’s theorem.
This module is dedicated to thermodynamics and statistical physics. Both classical and quantum theories will be considered in this module. Gibbs Method will be emphasized. In this module, there are 8 Chapters.
This module deals with basic concepts and principles in electronics and communication. The module introduces the concepts of semiconductor’s structure and basic electronics devices but also introduce logic fundamentals and analog and digital signals.
