Semester 6

This module focuses on the characteristics of rural environments, rural problems in developing and developed countries. It deals with the rural development models and the role of rural activities in the process of development. The content of this module is focused on the origin, types, characteristics, factors, advantages and disadvantages, and differences and similarities, functions, problems, and government policy towards rural settlement. It also analyses the fundamental policies of rural development from the case studies of some rural and urban areas of the world with a particular focus on Rwanda.
