Course image MEE2161: Fluid Mechanics
Semester I

The course aims to provide the knowledge of Fluid Mechanics as applied to Engineering practice.  It covers Fluid Statics and the basic equations of Fluid Dynamics, continuity, energy (Bernoulli) and momentum, with application mainly to non-viscous flow and incompressible flow. It also introduces Dimensional Analysis, a tool with many applications to Fluid Mechanics and other technical sciences. The course further extends the theory to include the study of viscous flows, with application to lubrication, pipe flow and boundary layer flows. Finally, the introduction to aerofoil theory, applications to the flow over real aerofoils and applications  to aeroplane dynamics, are also covered in this course
