This module will equip students with basic clinical laboratory practical experience by exposing them to real clinical laboratory practice in hospitals across the country. This module will reinforce the clinical application and skills learned in year 1,2,3&4. Emphasis will be placed on practical techniques done in bacteriology, parasitology, haematology , Immunoserology , blood transfusion science, clinical chemistry, histotechnology and Molecular Biology
This module intends to empower students with ability to conduct and evaluate research in various areas of environmental health and other health related disciplines and basic knowledge of statistics and research techniques to perform statistical analyses in research. It provides a solid foundation in biostatistics including understanding types of data, descriptive statistics, probability and introduction to inference. Methods and skills required to identify a specific environmental health and other health related problems for research and to demonstrate an ability to make valid judgments are discussed in this module.
