Semester 2
This module aims at providing the students with an understanding of the diversity, evolution and ecology of pathogens (parasites, bacteria, virus, fungi and metabolic disorders) and how the diseases they cause can be diagnosed, treated and prevented.
Through lectures, assignments and various practical exercise, comprehensive and consolidate block of knowledge in animal health, public health, maintenance of good health and preventive medicine for livestock with a particular attention on food animals will be provided and discussed between the module team and students.
Course image ANP2281: General farm animal production
Semester 2
The main objective of this module is to familiarize you with different practices and techniques in farm animal production. In this module, you will cover mostly the principles of cattle production, sheep production, goat production, pig production, rabbit production, poultry production, and farm shelter/sheds construction and mechanization. It is one of the key pillar courses for animal production because it is the foundation of all basics knowledge and skills that you must have before advancing with other related courses in animal production.
