BIT2131: Data Structures with C++
Semester 1

Course Description: Data Structures and C++

Course Code: CS-201
Course Title: Data Structures and C++
Prerequisites: Introduction to Programming (or equivalent familiarity with basic programming concepts)
Target Audience: Undergraduate students in IT_related Course

1. Course Overview

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to fundamental data structures and their implementation using the C++ programming language. We bridge the gap between basic syntax and the design of efficient, complex software systems. The focus is on understanding how to organize, manage, and store data efficiently to enable efficient access and modification. Students will learn to analyze the time and space complexity of algorithms and apply this knowledge to select the appropriate data structure for a given problem. By the end of the course, students will be capable of building robust and performance-conscious applications in C++.
