 This module  is design to provide  learner an opportunity to discover the rapidly developing field of palliative care  internationally level and application to the Rwanda context .Understanding the benefits and barriers  are crucial to optimise paediatric  palliative  care. learners are expected to discuss ethic principles and how to incorporate palliative care  at the earliest stages of symptom management , with particular focus on pain management , through an interdisciplinary team approach

Pediatrics: Track Specific Modules

This module emphasizes concepts such as community health, nutrition education, adherence to immunization policies, and breastfeeding to promote optimal health and minimize illness. Students will review best practice guidelines in addition to evaluating the efficacy of policies in Rwanda. Reduction/elimination of pediatric traumas and the importance of treating simple diseases early and aggressively to prevent severe complications.

Advanced Newborn Healthcare
Pediatrics: Track Specific Modules

This module is designed to provide the student with advanced skills and in-depth understanding of neonatal and newborn care, including intensive care and to critically evaluate the total care for a spectrum of neonatal conditions. Emphasis is placed on the management of the healthcare needs of diverse newborns and infants in neonatal intensive care units(NICU) and post-discharge.
