This is an introductory module in the first year of MBA. This module provides an overview of management process and its functions. It also introduces the leadership patterns, styles and approaches. With this module students shall be able to understand the meaning and concept of management in the contemporary business world, management process that encompassing planning, organising, staffing , leading and controlling. it attempts to make students learn the functions of management as related to human resource management, marketing management, operations management, financial management and information management. In the second part of the module delivery students are exposed to leadership and management contrast, traits of an effective leader, leadership styles besides exploring the management context and relevance in Rwanda and how the leadership profiles can be traced and pruned for the effective functioning of organisations in Rwanda.

The purpose of this module is to enlighten students on the importance of marketing knowledge to the business survival. It informs students how technological changes in the recent years have impacted on both consumers' and companies' influence, thereby ushering in strategies by the later for customer satisfaction. It also emphasizes on the role of marketing mix elements as factors that determine the competitive edge of any business. It also equips students with the knowledge of strategies adopted in product development and  subsequent branding processes, pricing objectives, communication and distribution strategies.

Masters in Business Administration

This module will offer to the students with opportunity to understand the theories of project finance, procurement and contract management and gain an enhanced understanding of assessing the role of project finance, procurement and contract management in the performance of a project. The study area would include project finance techniques, processes and practices; objectives of procurement and contract management, total cost of ownership, supplier evaluations, vendor rating, contract management and the public procurement procedures with its major principles, best practices and the national procedures.
